Orders for sleepers
(N.Z. Press Association i WELLINGTON A $500,000 contract for the manufacture of concrete sleepers for the Railways has been won by two New Zealand companies. The Chief Civil Engineer of the Railways (Mr G. F Bridges) said that the two orders were each for 30,000 sleepers and each was worth $250,000. The firms were Stresscrete (Waikato), Ltd. and 8.8. R. (N.Z.), Ltd, Masterton.
