The siwinner will enter the “Miss > New Zealand” contest, in ’ ■ June. j! “Miss Canterbury” will : • receive $5OO in cash, a $5OO ; wardrobe, a modelling-con- , tract and various clothing accessories. The contest is being organised, for the ninth year in succession, by the Christchurch Jaycee Chapter. Proceeds this year .will go to the Cholmondeley Home for (children, which the contest finalists visited last evening. r A week-end for two in . Queenstown is the prize for , the runner-up. Prizes this ' year are valued at $2OOO. Chic Littlewood will be the master of ceremonies in the show tomorrow. The j Jaycees have engaged the Rumour to play, and a fashion show will be pre- ' sented by the Farmers’, Ltd.
