Man dies in collision
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Feb. 22. A man was killed and another seriously injured when [two cars collided head-on on (State Highway 4. half a mile south of the Ohura turn-off, about 7.35 p.m. yesterday. The dead man, the sole occupant of one car, was Roy Frank Whitaker, aged 45, a wholesaler, of Station Street, Napier. The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, [Frank Gordon Dougherty, of (Ongarue, was taken to Taumarunui Hospital with serious injuries. Today he was reported to be seriously ill.
