DUTIES To undertake, at the direction of the inter-Depart-.mental Joint Committee on Young Offenders, research in juvenile offending and related problems. The position also involves directing the work of the Assistant Research Officer to the Committee and preparing back ground papers, statistical reviews, literature surveys, etc., on problems examined by the Committee. QUALIFICATIONS A university degree involving an understanding ot research methodology and statistical method as applied to social and criminological research. Preferred major subjects are: pyschology, sociology, statistics or mathematics. Experience and ability in research design and data analysis is desirable.
