Police seize liquor

Nine policemen acting on a warrant under the Sale of Liquor Act seized what Superintendent G. E. Twenty man called a “large quantity of liquor’’ in a raid on the Waimairi Beach Golf Club on Saturday. The names of about 50 persons present at the clubhouse were taken. Superintendent Twentyman said that charges would be laid under the Sale of Liquor Act as. a result of the seizure, which was made after a complaint. Six constables, two sergeants, and one seniorsergeant took part in the raid. A truck was used to take the liquor away.
