CANBERRA. Jan. 18

Australia has tightened her trade sanctions against Rhodesia in amended regulations gazetted in Canberra today.

They stipulate that no goods may be imported trom, or exported to, Rhodesia, without consent of the Minister of Customs and Excise.

The acting Minister, Mr Frank Crean, said today that the regulations were intended to ensure that Australia fully met her obligations under United Nations Security Council resolutions on trade with Rhodesia.

These required memberStates to prevent the import from, and export to, Rhodesia, of all commodities except those for humanitarian purposes.
