Trip by train
The Christchurch Tramway Society has still not found a cheap enough way of transporting its recently acquired Brisbane tram from Wellington to Christchurch. Mr A. J. Pickering, president of the society, said last evening that the society’s main concern with this particular project was not to find sponsors but to find a way of bringing the tram down to the Ferrymead Historical Museum within their budget of $5OO. Lottery draw Mammoth Kiwi Lottery No. 31 will be drawn in Wellington tomorrow.—(P.A.)
