Kidnapping in Colombia

A new wave of kidnap-: pings is spreading in Colom-j bia, six people — all of them wealthy businessmen and plantation owners — having seen seized since Saturday. Authorities said the kidnappers apparently were members of the rather diminished National Liberation Army, a guerrilla group operating in northern Colombia. A businessman, Carlos Angel, and his son were the latest victims. They were seized while travelling by car to their farm in Segovia, about 500 miles north-west of Bogota. In the Chanaraal region. 180 miles south-west of Bogota. an industrialist. Ignacio Raad, was also reported missling.
