Antarctica Mr Michel Laval, aged 31 slipped on some ice. and fell into the rotating propeller of a helicopter. News of the accident was released by the Metromedia Producers Corporation, sponsor of four television documentaries on marine life be ing filmed by the Cousteau team. Mr Laval was killed while leading a climbing group away from the helicopter to examine a fissure on an ex--1 tinct volcano
