LONSDALE CUP WINNER
WELLINGTON. The Olympic 1500 metres bronze medallist, R. P. Dixon, of Nelson, has won the Lonsdale Cup for 1972. The cup is awarded by the New Zealand Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association to the athlete in any sport on the Commonwealth Games calendar considered to have made the most outstanding contribution to his sport during the year.
