Charge of murder

NEW PL YMOUTH, Jan. 1. A man appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at New Plymouth today charged with murdering his wife on NewYear’s Eve.
Donald George Riordan, aged 3b. a builder’s labourer, of 19 Hutchins Street. Wailara. apoeared before Mr L. Hine. Justice of the Peace, and was remanded in custody until January 5. No plea was taken.
The charge arose from a visit by the police to 19 Hutchins Street Waitara. at 8.50 p.m. on Sunday, where Mrs Pamela Frances Riordan, aged 31, was found dead, apparently from multiple head injuries inflicted with a blunt instrument.
