(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) WHISTON (England), Dec. 29. A 68-year-old widow choked to death while trying to eat cardboard to stave off hunger pangs, an inquest heard yesterday. The body of Mrs Mary McCoy was found some two months later on Christmas Eve when her daughter and granddaughter visited her home at Whiston in the < north. Her dog was dead as 1 well and there was no food ' in the flat.
