HAMILTON, Dec. 29

A Samoan who was charged with the murder of a New Zealand nun in Apia four months ago has been acquited on the ground of insanity.

Leo Tunu, aged 25, was charged with the murder of Sister Mary Agnes, aged 35 (formerly Miss Mary Strange, of Paeroa).

Sister Agnes died in Apia Hospital on September 15. 18 days after she was attacked with a knife in Apia during daylight.
