Costa Rican, Austrian for Chch schools
A 17-year-old youth from San Jose, in Costa Rica, and a 16-y ear-old girl from Salzburg, in Austria, | will attend Christchurch secondary 7 schools next i year under the multinational programme of the i American Field Service organisation. They will be the first students to come to the South Island under the multinational programme. The youth is Orlando (Dan) J. Nichols, who will attend Burnside High School, and will stay with Mr and Mrs E. G. Cath. The girl is Hertha Komtner, who will attend Sacred Heart College, and will stay with Mr and Mrs B. F. Simmons. Four Americans will also attend Christchurch schools for a year. They are expected at Auckland on January 18, and will arrive in Christchurch on January 20. Lance Deibler, aged 17, from San Bernadino, California, will attend St And-1 rew’s College, and stay with! Mr and Mrs J. T.
