Plane spots shed fire
Fire destroyed a wmodshed and most of about two cordsl of wood on a property in School Road, Yaldhurst, last I evening. The Christchurch Fire Bri-( gade received two calls tot the blaze—the second(: through Christchurch Airport from the pilot of a light air- ; craft who had spotted the smoke and flames. Engines from the Sockbum and Harewood fire stations ( used two hose reels supplied ' from an open ditch to put 1 out the fire. Detectives are investigat- ' ing the fire, which is thought ' to have been begun by childi ren. 1
