Big T.Q. meeting planned Six of the North Island’s leading three - quarter midget car drivers will be racing at the Templeton Speedway on January 6. Among them will be the driver who finished run-ner-up in the last New Zealand championship, J. Benton, of Hamilton. The drivers will travel together but will race as individuals. Benton, one of the few drivers who has switched to a Czechoslovakian Eso power unit, will be the man to beat. The other visiting drivers are L. Gardner (Auckland), S. Budd, G. Corbett (both New Plymouth), K. Crowe and B. Robinson (both Hamilton).
