Bonus gifts to appeal
Several pensioners had shared their bonus pension by making a gift to the Christchurch City Mission’s Christmas appeal, said the City Missioner (the Rev. M. J. Goodall). Already the amount received had surpassed the total of last year’s appeal. The mission was grateful both for the increased giving and for the gifts of toys and other goods, he said. The mission would also welcome donations towards the family holiday camp, planned for the New Year week-end, and towards holiday accommodation for families in January.
