Nandi strike ended
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 21. Fears of wrecked holidays for hundreds of people disappeared today with the end of a strike by fuel workers at Nandi Airport, Fiji. For five days, the Air New Zealand twice-daily DCBs have taken only 50 passengers on each north-bound flight because of the need to carry extra fuel. Strong head winds made things even worse yesterday and one of the 131-passenger planes took only 32. Flights are normal today and there may be seats to spare before Christmas.
