MARLBOROUGH.—Fresh north-westerlies through Cook Strait at first, and fine; a change to cooler south-westerlies about the middle of the day is likely to bring brief coastal showers. NELSON.—Fresh to strong south-westerlies. Rain developing about the ranges and brief falls elsewhere this morning; rain clearing from the western ranges this afternoon; mild day temperatures. BULLER AND WESTLAND.—West to south-west winds fresh at times; rain easing to scattered showers during the morning; moderate temperatures. OUTLOOK.—A few showers likely in Buller and Westland, otherwise fair.
