One-party State
President Kaunda has signed into law a bill making Zambia a one-party State, and has installed the United National Independence Party as the country’s only legal political organisation. The Opposition African National Congress, which had 19 of the 110 seats in Parliament, now legally ceases to exist.— Lusaka, Dec. 14.
