The A class in the AceO.S.C.A. saloon series is now led by J. Armstrong (Ford Mustang), with 16 class points to the 10 of C. Collins (Cortina Mustang). Ryan (Escort) with 18 points to the 14 of L. Neilson (Escort). Neilson and Ryan share third place over-all (15 points), with J. McCoomb (10) next in the now-rebodied Cortina Cobra VB. K. Haig is next in his Mustang with nine points. The M.G. Car Club’s sprint meeting at Ruapuna Park was won by D. Elvy (Heron), with B. McKenzie (Jaguar E-type) second, and L. Steere (M.G.8.) third. There were 16 entries. 4s The University Motor Club’s invitation autocross attracted a good entry, and was won over-all by M, Lyford (Cooper S) with a loss of five points. G. Chamberlain (Lotus) was second with a loss of 12 points, and R. Hudson (Cooper S) third with a loss of 15. The class winners were D. Mitchell (Mini 1100), J. Himing (Austin A4O), M. Lyford (Cooper S), and G. Chamberlain (Cooper S). D. McMillan now leads the New Zealand Formula Ford championship, with 23 points to the 19 of R. Booth and the 15 of G. Baker.
