County Council. He was promoted from the position of committee clerk. Mr Chapple joined the council in 1965 after 10 years with the Christchurch City Council. Consequent on the appointment. Mr S. Phillips has been appointed committee clerk, and Mr G. Bannan has been promoted to senior clerk.
