SIX NEW STAMPS

i Two fine arts students at The University of Canteribury have designed six stamps to be issued by the Post Office on February 7. The stamps commemorate the centennials of Thames borough (3c), the University of Canterbury (sc), Westport borough (4c), the fiftieth anniversary of the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society (6c), New Zealand rowing achievements (8c) and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East (10c). The Thames borough centennial stamp was designed by Miss V. Jepson, and Mr B. Langford designed the other stamps. Orders for unad-, dressed first-day covers wi!l| be accepted at all post offices | up to and including February 6.
