$400 fine for bank

(N 2. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. The Bank of New South Wales was convicted and find a total of $4OO by Mr P. J. Trapski, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today for failing to comply with Regulation 4B of the Exchange Control Regulations. The manager of the bank’s Napier branch, Edward Claude Budd, was convicted and discharged on eight charges. Pleas of not guilty to all charges had been entered at the original hearing.
