32 Rangiora qualifiers
Regal Bachelor, Great Chase, Royal Lands, Peter Gerald, Holmfield, and Get Time were among the most impressive of the' 32 horses to qualify to start in two races for maiden pacers at the Rangiora Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday week. The first four to finish in each of eight heats run at trials at Motukarara yesterday qualified to start. In the event of scratchings or horses winning at Waimate on Saturday and becoming Ineligible, they will be replaced from among the horses to finish fifth. Regal Bachelor’s 3:58 1-5 for the 14 furlongs was the fastest in the eight heats. The horses to qualify for the two races were:—Andata, Bachelor Morn, Bardella, Carmel, Count Bassey, Doctor Ted, Dreamaway, Dryden James, Evidence False Smoke, Felicity Jane. Get Time, Fieldsman, Great Chase, Holmfield, Irton Globe, Kentucky Hanover, Local Dryden, Local View, Lord Devin, Loyal Drift, Ma Griffe, Moville, Peter Gerald, Real Garrison, Regal Bachelor, Renay, Royal Charm, Royal Lands, Saintly Dreamer, Seafield Empress. Teen Hoven.
