Folkstone car ferry
A new car ferry and freight terminal has opened at Folkestone on the Kent coast. It is part of a £9 million development scheme which includes two new 5000-ton multi-purpose ships now in service with British Rail’s sealink routes to Boulogne, Calais and Ostend, and a range of port facilities aimed at speeding passengers, cars and lorries to and from Europe. Folkestone is a popular holiday resort 70 miles southeast of London,
