The Findon Skid Kids, of South Australia, have raised $lO,OOO for charities during the last 14 years, by riding bicycles through a wall of petrol-soaked cardboard.
The three young people are protected by leather jackets, helmets and woollen clothing. But on this occasion one of them was not fast enough, and ambulance
men (right) had to smother his burning clothes with blankets. It was not the first time —the riders say they have often had to receive hospital treatment after the act.
