8 YEARS PRISON
Attackers of N.Z. couple (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright > ROCKHAMPTON, Nov. 17. Two men who pleaded guilty to three charges in connection with an attack on a New Zealand couple on their honeymoon were sentenced in Rockhampton today, to eight years imprisonment.
James Alfred Hill, aged 23. and Robert David Scott, aged 18, both of Yass, New South Wales, were charged with conspiring to commit rape, assault with intent to steal money while armed with dangerous weapons, and stealing with actual violence while armed with dangerous weapons.
A third man, David Graham Rattenbury, of Yass, was killed during the incident, which occured on September 29 near Gladstone in Queensland. Kevin Corcoran, aged 25, of Auckland, who was on honeymoon with his wife Susan in Queensland, earlier was found not guilty of murder.
