Deep raids by U.S.
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SAIGON, Nov. 8. For the fifth successive day, United States 852 bombers today launched heavy strikes on both sides of the Demilitarised Zone in an effort to crush a major supply push from North Vietnam into the South, military sources said. The 852 s made their deepest raids into North Vietnam since April, striking 51 miles north-west of the port of Vinh, and about 55 miles south of the 20th Parallel. A partial bombing halt continued above the 20th Parallel.
