Australia to lend $2.2m (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Nov. 8. The Australian Government will join New Zealand and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in helping to finance a road project in Fiji. The project, entails extensive reconstruction on the road between Nandi and Suva and will be the largest, most expensive, single project in Fiji’s history. The World Bank will cooperate in financing most of the foreign exchange cost of the project. Australia has agreed to lend $2.2m on terms similar to those offered by the other two lenders. Australia’s loan will be in addition to the slsm aid programme recently approved for bilateral aid to developing! countries in the South-West] Pacific, including Fiji. ’
