Steady year for Ajax GKN
“Accounts of Ajax GKN, Ltd, for the six months to September, 1972, disclose a marginal increase in sales by comparison with those of the corresponding period of the previous year, and that the level of earning rate has been maintained,” the directors say in the half-yearly report. In the early part of the current financial year orders for the company’s product in some sections were less than what may have been regarded as normal, but were compensated for by buoyancy in others, they say. “By the end of the first six months of operations for the current financial year demand had improved in all sectors, and for the balance of the year, it is expected the company’s production capacity will be comfortably employed,’’
