INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER A large international company requires a Chartered Accountant to manage the Internal Audit Department or its New Zealand Branch. The Internal Audit Manager will be based in the Head Office in Wellington but the duties will corer all operations, which are essentially throughout the North Island. Applicants are expected currently to be either Senior Accountants or Audit Managers with a firm of Chartered Accountants as a sound audit background is a basic requirement. This background will provide the experience to develop programmes and plans for the internal audit. The company will provide a small but qualified team to assist the Internal Audit Manager. A major function will be to offer constructive criticisms and suggestions for updating and improving the company’s methods and systems The company is involved in developing an EDP installation so that sufficient experience to enable audit within this area is also essential. It is envisaged that the Internal Audit Manager will become a member of the team covering the development of all the Company's EDP activities. As internal audit permeates all Company operations the Manager will gain a knowledge of the Company that will offer considerable promotional opportunities, either in New Zealand or overseas.
