Seabees at Pole

Work on the new Amund-sen-Scott South Pole station has resumed with the arrival there yesterday of 20 members of the United States Navy’s Construction Battalion from McMurdo Station. On the return flight to McMurdo Station were the 22 men who spent the winter at the pole. The new season’s relief team arrived at the station last Friday under the direction of Commander R. G. Blessing, who will also be in charge next winter.
