Questions on imports
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. Questions on the control of importation and use of compounds which are potential environmental hazards are to be put to the Government by the Environmental Council. A report received by the council expressed concern at the importation and use for industrial purposes of P.C.B. (polychlorinated biphenyls) compounds which entered the natural environment through industrial smoke and effluent.
