CONSTABLE DISCHARGED

Constable V. P. Nolan, who was shot in the chest nearly five weeks ago when on duty in the Ashburton Police Station, was discharged from the Ashburton Hospital on ’Wednesday afternoon. Constable Nolan was admitted on September 5 and pellets were removed from below his heart. He was on the seriously ill list for several days. Constable Nolan still has to return to the hospital each day. He does not know when ihe will be able to return to; l work.
