Staff Correspondent> WASHINGTON, Oct 18. “The difference between soccer and football is a game called Rugby,” says an advertisement on a sports page of today’s “New York Times.” “See how it’s played and you’ll understand why most people stick to soccer and football. “Come to international Rugby, Saturday, October 21—world champion New Zealand versus New York All Stars.” The advertisement was inserted in the newspaper by the Metropolitan New York Rugby Union, which is organising Saturday’s match. “It seemed a bit odd to me when I read it,” said Mr Tim Colter, one of the union’s match organisers. “The way it’s worded, the advertisement is almost an invitation to stay away. I think we’ll have to do something about it.”
