“The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Patricia took the honours at Woodville yesterday morning with a fine gallop over seven furlongs. He is in the right order to race well in the Awatea Handicap at Trentham tomorrow. Trials took place 50 feet out on the course proper, which was cutting out. Patrida went five furlongs in Imln 3 2-ssec, the last three in 36 4-ssec. Count Kurcru furthered his preparation for the Harcourt Stakes on Monday by running six furlongs evenly in Imln 20 I stec» the final three in 40 2-ssec. If the track is firm he Should he hard to beat.
Glcngowan galloped easily over ■ mile, clocking Irnln 23 2-. p >scc for the last six furlongs, and 40 3-S&CC for the final three.
