Members say farewell

CN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 18. The manager of Parliament’s catering establishment, Bellamy’s, Mr C. B. Bailey, was farewelled by M.P.s from both sides of the House last night. They presented him with a 48-piece dinner set. Mr Bailey has been the manager and officer-in-charge of Parliament Buildings for the last eight years. He joined the Public Service 44 years ago and came to Parliament Buildings 27 years ago. Mr Bailey, who was due to retire in January, will be the new manager-secretary of the Wellesley Club, Wellington.
