Th* list of three erfcles written by Mrs ElisAeth Ogilvie to mark th* fitieth anniversary of the Canfeibury branch of the Federation of University Women appeared in “Th* Press" yesterday. The theme of the article was international aspects of the federation, as experienced by the immediate past-presidett of the New Zealand fedentlon, Mrs Olive Perkins, of Cashmere. Th* life and time* of Dr Jessie Scott, an early F.U.W. president and one of Christchurch's first women doctors, was described by Mn Ogilvie In the second article, on October 14. tn the first of tie series, she recalled the pioneering influence of one »f Canterbury's foremost wonen educationists, Miss Maty Victoria Gibson, the first president of the branch.
