Four up for N.Z. coach

Competition for the post of coach of the national women’s basketball team is strong this year. Four nominations have been received— Messrs T. Wright (Nelson), L. McLoughlin (Hutt Valley), J. Pau! (Otago) and R. Williams (Auckland). Mr Paul held the position last season and Mr McLoughlin the season before. Mr Wright is a former national men’s coach. The same four, with the addition of Mr B. K. Marsh, have been nominated as New Zealand selectors. Two Canterbury officials. Messrs S. C. Cook and L. P. Rollinson, are among six nominations for the position of New Zealand women's junior coach. The appointments will be made by ballot at the National Federation meeting, in Wellington early in December.
