Father seeks son
The father of a 15-year-old boy missing from Hamilton for nearly two weeks, last evening telephoned “The Press” from Hamilton in an effort to find his son. Mr K. A. Laws, the deputy principal of Hamilton Boys’ High School, said he had received information that his son, Michael, had staved in Christchurch with people for a few days, leaving yesterday to look for a iob, either in Twizel, Dunedin, or Timaru. Michael is sft 9in, of slim build, fair complexion, with curly, tight brown to auburn hair and brown eyes. Mr Laws said he had seen his son during television coverage of the Jesus march in Wellington on October 8, and before that had received a letter
from him In Taupo, which set out the reasons why he had left home. “I’m not trying to drag him home by the scruff of his neck. I just want to talk to him about it,” Mr Laws said. If anyone should see his son or hear of him, he would be grateful if they rang 53-902 Hamilton collect during the evenings or 52-099 during the day.
