Social Credit candidate
Mr W. J. Julius, of Glenavy, has been chosen as the Social Credit Political League’s candidate for South Canterbury. Mr Julius, aged 40, a factory foreman, contested the Waitaki seat for the league in 1963. He has been a Dominion councillor since 1965, a member of the Dominion policy committee for seven years, and is at present a member of the Dominion campaign committee. Married, with six sons, Mr Julius was educated at Wellington Technical College. He has been chairman of the Glenavy school committee for 11 years.
