Centennial Pool plans

Seven construction companies have inspected plans for restoration and redevelopment of the Centennial Pool, and have been given until Thursday to lodge tenders with the City Council’s engineering consultants, Bill Lovell-Smith and Associates. The work consists of completion of extensions to the main and diving pools, restoration of the grandstand and plant room and construction of new learners’ and paddling pools. The parks and recreation committee will meet the consultants as soon as possible after the closing date and select a tender. To minimise delay a special meeting of the council will be held for confirmation.
