Allegation of murder (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BRISBANE, Oct. 16. The hearing of a murder charge against Kevin Harold Corcoran, aged 25, resulting from an incident in Queensland last month, in which Corcoran is alleged to have defended his wife from rape, will be heard in the Gladstone Magistrate’s Court on October 23. Corcoran, a New Zealander has been charged with having murdered David Graham Rattenbury, at Palm Creek, on or about September 28. Today, two young men were further remanded until October 24 on three charges arising from the same incident.

Robert Scott, aged 18, unemployed, and Lionel Hill, aged 23, a truck driver, were charged that they assaulted Corcoran, with intent to steal with actual violence, while armed with knives; that they then conspired together to commit rape: and further, that they stole with actual violence a quantity of cannabis while armed with knives.
