The Homecraft team are based at the Board’s new demonstration kitchen complex at the Auckland Building Display Centre and its principal duties include advising consumers on all aspects of home management (both in the home and in the demonstration kitchen) demonstrating home appliances and undertaking live cookery classes to provide a service to the consumer and promote the use of electricity. As the position is one which projects the Board’s image, you must have the bearing and maturity to deal with the public and the ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals. A Degree or Diploma in Home Science or equivalent qualification is essential. Salaries for positions in the Homecraft Section are in the ranges $3577-83899, and $3899-$4278 per annum.
