(N.Z. Press Association) BUNEQJN, October 13. Prices (or nSvyAvbight prime cattle were shgfttjy easier at Burnside inajftqt this week, but all other types remained firm atjast week’s tfigii level. The offering totalled 267 head and was of similar quality to last week’s. The offering of winners and vealers totaled 46 aria both quality and Values were in line with last week’s. The 173 storq cattle included some good quqlny and well grown one to two-year-old steers, which commanded ifye attention of buyers. The remainder of the yardifig was of mixed size and quality. The pig yardtog totalled 90. Values rem&tea at last week’s high fevel for Dbth porkers and There were only 39 spring lambs offered. They were of similar quality to last week and values refftaflled unchanged. The yarding 6t 1972 adult sheep was much smaller than last week. The quality was inixed, there being few pens of top hoggets. While values for ewes appreciated by 30c to 40c, hoggets remained firm.
Quotatiens were:— Prime beef cattle: top oxen, $234; heav& s2qo to $225; medium, $lB5 to $195; light, $lB5 to $180; small, $440 to $l5B. Top hesfieu-, sfs& neavsi $145 to $150; niedAtm, $l3O ti> $l4O. Tbp oow, |l|| to $146; medium. Runners and vealeis: runners, SM6 to Top Walers, sl2d to si2o; Store cattle: two-year steers, $l3l to $136- Top orie-’year steers, $Bl to $137; medlim, $6l to $74. Two-year heifers, $lO3. One-year heifers, $52 to $7l. Friesian cross cows with calves, $6l all counted. Hereford cross cows with calves, $67 all counted. Sheep: top hogget $15.40t medium, $13.40 to l£3~70; light, $ll to SI IJSO. ’Bop ewo> $7; medium, $6.40 to $6.70; light, $5.50 to $5.80.
