Shirley Abicair
An Australian, Shirley Abicair, went into show business when she won a radio contest. Since her arrival in England some years ago she has appeared many times in television programmes and has had several series of her own. She also tours regularly, and with Larry Adler entertained Israeli troops in 1967. In “Tonight In Person” she demonstrates her skill on the zither and sings a number of very popular songs. “Tonight In Person: Shirley Abicair” was produced by Terry Hughes for the 8.8. C. Music is arranged and conducted by Peter Knight and the programme screens from CHTV3 next Friday evening.
