Mr Kirk replies on debate

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) said that that he would be happy to debate with Mr Muldoonafter the Prime Minister (Mr Marshall) had debated with Mr Kirk. It was no use Mr Muldoon getting angry, Mr Kirk said, “because I will not fall for his desperate efforts to db vert attention from the Prime Minister’s refusal to debate with me.” Mr Muldoon had challenged Mr Kirk to a public debate on the Minister’s economic policies.
