(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. More consultations on the draft resolution on nuclear testing, jointly prepared by Australia and New Zealand, would be held in New York, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Sir Keith Holyoake) today. A working group of four members, including New Zealand, had been set up to consider the text further. Flight anniversary The anniversary of Miss Jean Batten’s solo flight from England to New Zealand in 1936 will be marked at Auckland on October 16 when BP New Zealand, Ltd, presents a painting of Miss Batten’s Percival Gull aircraft to the Jean Batten School at Mangere. The oil painting is by the British aviation artist, Cyril Peckham. Miss Batten, who now lives in Teneriffe, is tape-recording a special message which will be played to the pupils after the presentation. Labour Day mail No mail will be delivered either in the town or in country areas on Labour Day (October 23), said the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch (Mr M. T. Reedy) yesterday. Postal and telegraph counters and the Post Office savings bank will be closed that day. The toll exchange will be’manned by staff in continuous attendance, and afterhours telegrams and toll calls may be lodged at any public telephone box. Street post boxes will be cleared at 9 p.m. on Labour Day.
