BEER RAN DRY

(N.Z. Press Association)

HASTINGS, Oct 2.

A small beer tanker was taken during a Havelock North wedding reception at the week-end, and was eventually recovered in the driveway of a Hastings house. The wedding reception was going full swing until the barman noticed that the beer-tap had run dry. A quick check of the hose found that the tanker had vanished. The police were called.

A surprised Hastings resident woke next day to find the tanker in his driveway.
